Gun Safety & Principles of Basic Marksmanship (Individual or Group)
Clients in this class will be taught principles of gun safety with a focus on the four main rules of firearms safety. Safe handling procedures centered around understanding common nomenclature of firearms, practical functionality, loading and clearing, as well as field stripping and cleaning. We will discuss options and requirements for storage at home and travel. NJ Law “Castle Doctrine” and Duty to Retreat (exceptions eg. St. V- Garland) focused on what you can and cannot do so that you are legally compliant. We will discuss the process to obtain a NJ Firearms ID Card, NJ Pistol Purchase Permit as well as NJ Concealed Carry permitting.
Principles of Basic Marksmanship fundamentals focused on familiarity with the weapon we are training. We will discuss and explore, through practical exercises, principles of marksmanship centered around a balanced and comfortable stance, grip and sighting to insure a proper foundation for live fire exercises. Practical training will include dry fire exercises utilizing training aids such as the Mantis Shooting Performance System, all within the comfort of your own home.
This method will help the student develop good habits and gain the necessary confidence to perform consistently. This new skillset should be integrated with range training where live fire exercises can commence.
Training aid cost: $180- Mantis Shooting Performance System is a weapon mounted training aid and phone app interface that helps train, measure and diagnose areas to improve.
Range and Live Fire Training (Individual)
Range time will allow us to integrate the practical home training with the Mantis Shooting Performance System with live firing. We will focus on loading, cycling, changing magazines and malfunction clearing as well as maintaining solid fundamentals to avoid common pitfalls like firing anticipation and improper target acquisition.
Home Threat Assessment and Search (Groups up to 6 per lesson)
Learn how to effectively and safely search your home to address potential threats. Working through practical exercise of entering and searching rooms, properly escalating and de-escalating stairways, students in this class will empower themselves with techniques that will help develop confidence in their ability to protect their families. We will also discuss developing Emergency Action Plans for your families.
NJ Concealed Carry Permit Training (Individual)
Classroom instruction will include NJ required training on Use of Force and Concealed Carry regulations as well as practical qualification certification to carry a concealed handgun in the NJ CCARE Protocol (NJ Civilian Carry Assessment & Range Evaluation). Document preparation included with class.
Active Shooter Response (Groups up to 6 per lesson)
Classroom instruction will include NJ Use of Force instruction with focus on NJ Law “Castle Doctrine” and Duty to Retreat (exceptions eg. St. V- Garland) focused on what you can and cannot do so that you are legally compliant. Active Shooter Response practical lesson will train participants in Search and Contact as well as tactical room entry for different types of rooms. SORA Class recommended as co-curricular.

Basic Life Support Adult and Infant CPR Certification (Group Sessions available)
The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components, important early use of an AED, effective ventilations using a barrier device, importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR, and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants.
